No experience is required. Why don't you step into the mysterious, funny, and beautiful world of the traditional Japanese performing art “Tamasudare”?
In this experience, I feel the Japanese concept of “mitate: the art of imitating something”. There, simple bamboo sticks are transformed into various shapes and objects in front of our eyes using only imagination and technology. Please experience art unique to Japan!
With 20 years of experience, a professional guide will teach you step by step, so anyone can enjoy it easily. You can also wear traditional Japanese costumes, such as a haori, for a deeper cultural experience. In just 1 hour, you'll discover the history, technology, and fun of this unique Japanese art. Come and be prepared for laughter and surprise!
They also sell tamales. Take it home as a souvenir and use it to please your family and friends at parties etc.

1) Welcome to the world of Tamasudare (history and appreciation)
Learn about the history of Tamasudare and appreciate his performances. Please experience Japan's unique sensibility “mitate (mitate)” culture where bamboo expresses various things.
2) Practice ①: Master basic techniques
I will give a careful lecture, starting with how to hold it. Once you get the hang of it, your first shape will be ready in no time! “It's done!” Please experience that joy.
3) Practice ②: Challenge applied techniques
Next, I'm going to try a slightly leveled up form. You can rest assured that professionals with 20 years of experience will support you. Please enjoy the feeling that bamboo moves like a living thing.
4) Finale: Wear a costume to celebrate
We will wear traditional costumes and show off the results of our practice! The performance will be filmed on video, and the data will be presented as a memory of the trip! Be sure to check back even after you return home.
