Osaka Castle Gozabune
The ship travels the inner moat of Osaka Castle in around 20 minutes. This is a rare occasion to see the main tower from the inner moat. Please enjoy riding the Golden Boat Osaka Castle Gozabune as if you have conquered all of Japan! This boat was created after Hideyoshi's Ho-oh-maru, painted on the Osaka-zu-byobu. Ozaka Honganji stood where Osaka Castle now stands. Buddhist altars of the same sect have gold leaf adorning the interior. Hideyoshi loved gold, as you can see from the tea room of Rikyu and Hideyoshi. Osaka Castle was also known as Kinjo (The Golden Castle) due to it shining gold when the afternonn sunlight hit the castle.
